Case Study

Bruthen Football Club Extension

Bruthien football club building awning extension after construction

Bruthen Football Club
Extension to existing facility

Scope of Work

The proposal is for an extension to an existing facility (awning). The proposed awning will be a carport like structure addition to the existing Bruthen Football Club facility.

Why the need to obtain a planning permit

The Bruthen Football Club - unlike many other public land facilities is zoned Farming Zone. The objective of the farming zone is to provide for agriculture. (In most cases public land is zoned Public Park and Recreation Zone, which would often allow buildings and works on behalf of the public land manager without a permit).

Involvement in the process

Work with the committee of the Bruthen Football Club to ascertain what is needed, and how to do this within the budget of a relatively small community group. Identify issues such as coordinating the land manager with the land owner (Bruthen Rec Reserve Committee & DELWP)
